The National Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (NHMC), situated in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, is a prestigious government institution dedicated to homoeopathic education and healthcare. Established in 1921 by Dr. B.S. Tandon, NHMC holds the distinction of being Asia’s first degree-awarding college in homoeopathy, achieving this milestone in 1961. The college is affiliated with Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra, and is recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH). Academic Programs: BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery): A 5½-year undergraduate program, including a one-year internship. The annual intake for this course is 125 students.​ MD in Homoeopathy: A 3-year postgraduate program offering specializations in various disciplines of homoeopathy. The college offers a total of 68 seats across its UG and PG programs. Facilities: NHMC boasts a comprehensive campus with well-equipped laboratories, a library, lecture halls, and separate hostels for male and female students. The attached hospital provides both Outpatient Department (OPD) and Inpatient Department (IPD) services, facilitating practical training for students and healthcare services for the community. Admission Process: BHMS: Admission is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) scores, followed by participation in the Uttar Pradesh AYUSH counseling process.​ MD in Homoeopathy: Candidates must qualify the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) and participate in the subsequent counseling.
